Student loan disbursement date Help! What's this mean? Anticipated Disbursement date?

Ok, I have been approved for Stafford loans. I checked my account online through AES(loans through this company) and it anticipated disbursement date is 1-4-08. Well, that's today. It didn't show up as disbursed, just will be on 1-4. Is there something wrong? Or does it take time to be updated? Or maybe since it's Friday, maybe won't show up til the next business day? When should it get to my school?

It should have gotten to your school today and maybe it just hasn't been updated. However, if there was a glitche on their part it may not get their til monday. If its not there by monday go to your finance person at school to determine the problem.

the anticipated date is the date that the school is suppose to receive the money. the left over money is then mailed to you the first day of classes, therefore, you should get the money the second or third day of classes.

Check your account tomorrow. All postings this week were delayed a day because of the holiday - including my paycheck direct-deposited to my bank account. You're probably in the same situation and it will show up either tomorrow or on Monday.

This means it will be distributed to your school today, your school then applies the loans to any outstanding bills on your account and then the school will distribute leftover funds to you.
